Current position:
He is the founder of PrecastEvo Ltd. PrecastEvo (from Precast Evolution) is a structural design company seated in Athens Greece specialized in the structural design of precast buildings and provides specialized technical equipment for the connections between the precast elements.
The Activities of the company are:
- Study and Planning of infrastructure projects
- Consultant Services
- Audit Services for Civil Engineering project
- Supervision for Civil Engineering projects
- Participation in Research programs which concern the application of new technologies and the use of new building materials.
- Trading of engineered products for the construction and industrial sectors.
He is head of the structural design department of Katerra Ltd in India
He was CEO (until 2021) and a member of the Design Company Management Engineering Consulting Services (M.E.C.S. Ltd). The activities of Μ.Ε.C.S. Ltd was the structural design studies in Greece and abroad and the supervision of private and public technical works.

Main qualifications:
He is head of the Structural design Department of the PrecastEvo Ltd Design Company. He is responsible for a proper and economical structural design and its delivery on time.
- He has sound knowledge of the Greek R.C. and steel Codes for structural designs in Greece.
- He has sound knowledge of international codes [Eurocodes (EC), American codes (ACI 318, ASCE, PCI-precast) and Indian codes (IS)] for the design of Civil Engineering works abroad (and in Greece – Eurocodes).
- He has sound knowledge and large experience on using properly high level Softwares such as SOFISTIK, ETABS t.c. for high demanding projects.
- He is a member of international scientific Task Groups of fib (see 9).
- He has laboratory experience on the behavior of reinforced concrete as a member of research programs performed in the Earthquake Engineering Laboratory of the N.T. University of Athens, Greece.
- He acts together for updated evolution of the structural department of the company in the field of development of innovative precast systems.
Practical experience:
- He has 29 years of structural design experience for a variety of Civil Eng. Projects and fields, such as, low-rise and high-rise buildings (cast-in-place or precast-prestressed), repairs and strengthenings of buildings damaged by earthquakes, railways superstructure systems, preparation of tender documents of big Greek public works, supervision of technical works, e.t.c.
- He performed and he was responsible for the structural design of more than 200 projects of different nature as above in Greece and abroad.
- He is highly specialized on the design of multistory cast-in-place and precast-prestressed projects under seismic situations such as residential buildings, parkings, educational buildings, hotels, e.t.c., as well as on low rise industrial buildings subjected to high live loads.
- Recently (2015) Mr Tryfon Topintzis in the frame of his obligations in PrecastEvo Ltd precast design company, cooperates with KATERRA Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd as the head of the structural design department of Katerra providing the Now – How in the design field and providing supervision of Katerra’s precast applications.
Scientific activities:
- He is a member of the International fib – Task Group 6.10 “Precast concrete buildings in seismic areas – Practical aspects”, which will be a common fib – PCI publication in 2015 (convener Prof. S. Tsoukantas).
- He is a member of the International fib – Task Group 6.6. “Retrofitting and repair of precast structures in seismic areas” (convener Prof. S. Tsoukantas and Prof. S.Pampanin).
- He is a member of the international fib – Task Group 6.7 “Precast Concrete in Tall Buildings”, that started its works on October 2014 (convener G. Jones).
- He participated in the European research program: “Performance of innovative mechanical connections in precast buildings structures under seismic conditions” under the acronym “SAFECAST” that was approved by the European Union (08/01/2009) with participation of 15 organizations and universities of 6 European countries.
- He participates in the European research program: “Improved fastening systems of cladding wall panels of precast buildings in seismic zones” under the acronym “SAFECLADDING” that was approved by the European Union (August 2012).
- He was a member of the research team under Prof. S. Tsoukantas for the development of a structural system using the 3D-technology for the SPITI S.A. construction company.
- He was a member of the research team under Prof. S. Tsoukantas (development, experimental research) for the structural verification of the MINERVA S.A. company structural system.
- He was a member of the research team under Prof. P.Giannopoulos for the development of a demountable precast system for the needs of the Greek School Organization “O.S.K. S.A.”.
